Electrical surges can travel along copper lines about one foot per nanosecond. The 3-5 nanosecond clamp-down speed of the solid-state modules provides protection from surges as low as 30 volts for digital switches, data transmission and security devices.

16 AWG steel building entrance terminals feature a 710 style connector for use in specialized OSP installations including military, health care, and education applications. Also included are multiple external and internal ground lugs as well as a splice chamber. UL Approval standard on all terminals. Standard 5-pin protector modules are sold separately.
