The B1285 ProTalk Link stands as a testament to modular innovation in industrial alarm monitoring and reporting systems. This highly adaptable platform allows for custom configurations to meet the diverse and evolving needs of modern industrial operations.
Scalable Control, Built for Any Industry
At its core, the ProTalk Link consists of a main control module that can be expanded with a variety of communication and input modules, enabling it to scale from basic 8-input systems to complex setups monitoring up to 480 points. Its ability to integrate with PLCs using various protocols, including Modbus RTU/TCP, Allen Bradley DF1, and Ethernet/IP, positions it as a versatile solution for bridging legacy systems with modern industrial IoT applications. The B1285’s multi-layered communication capabilities, spanning landline, cellular, radio, and PA systems, ensure redundancy in critical alarm reporting. This, combined with its robust construction designed to operate in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +60°C), makes the ProTalk Link an indispensable tool for industries ranging from water treatment and oil & gas to manufacturing and utilities, where continuous monitoring and rapid response to anomalies are paramount. Modular design with expandable inputs (up to 180 points with PLC module).
- Multiple communication options including landline, cellular, radio, and PA systems
- Supports various protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, Allen Bradley DF1, and Ethernet/IP
- Analog and digital input options for diverse monitoring capabilities
- Remote programming and system interrogation via phone or text
- CSA/UL Safety Approved with wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +60°C)
Choosing Your Modules.
The ProTalk Link is a versatile and flexible alarm auto dialer system that can be customized to meet a wide variety of alarm monitoring needs. To structure your ProTalk Link, you’ll start with the essential components and then add modules based on your specific requirements. Begin with one B1285-M1 control module, which serves as the main unit. Next, choose at least one communication module – either the B1285-T1 for landline connections or the B1285-W4 for cellular communications. This basic setup provides you with 8 discrete inputs, 4 relay outputs, and the ability to send alarm notifications. For more complex systems, you can expand your ProTalk Link by adding any combination of three types of expansion modules, up to a maximum of 16 total modules.
